This piece has slowly built up and around other activities, culminating in a finish that saw a few stages of progress recently posted to my facebook fanpage. I have a second composition with the character which may see some time on the boards this summer, we'll see how the assignments go. Here it is as the card will appear, shipping out in late March.

A few months ago I put up a post announcing my discovery of some 70-yr. old 2mm leads I had found in a local art shop. They were in an incredibly beautiful package that now resides among other prize trinkets on a shelf in my studio. I've realized since this purchase that these drawing tools will get increasingly harder to find as time marches on.

So the site has been through a rough couple of months, and I definitely want to apologize to everyone for that. I had to transfer the whole site over to another host due to persistent server problems, and then ran into a lot of issues setting up the new site.

In the last month or so I've had some really down moments.

In a place as unlikely as the Academy Awards, I found a voice of inspiration, and the reference to dreams makes it even more appropriate to share here.
